British model David Gandy has been announced as Red Nose Day's 2013 fashion ambassador, launching the Blue Steel Appeal - a series of fashion events and initiatives taking place throughout the year to raise money for Comic Relief.

Gandy - who's to head up a fashion committee including BFC chief exec Caroline Rush, model Poppy Delevingne and photographer Rankin - said 'I hope that the fashion industry will come together, have some fun, show off their best Blue Steel looks and raise money at the same time'.
